- Different types of fossil fuels
Fossil energy sources, including oil, coal and natural gas, are non-renewable resources that formed when prehistoric plants and animals died and were gradually buried by layers of rock. Over millions of years, different types of fossil fuels formed depending on what combination of organic matter was present, how long it was buried and what temperature and pressure conditions existed as time passed.
- Electric Fossil fuel

Te tahawai marae
The year 4 + r5 went to Te tahawai Marae. We got off from a Ritchies bus that dropped us off. As we walked to the marae we formed our positions, boys in the back girls in the front. The people in the marae started the karanga to welcome us into the marae. We had to take our shoes off before we went in to the marae for the the marae had sacred ground to the maori. The boys had to take their shoes off first then the girls after the tangata whenua welcome us. when we got inside Joshua K said his mihi and then I said mine. After that the room 5 and the year 4 did the hongi. Then we washed our hands and ate. The tangata whenua helped us weave with paper and put the to part on.
Before we were going to leave the boys did the haka.
I had a really fun time in the Marae especially the fun things and the haka
boys jumping off
I am walking on a bridge side and I see a wharf with nets and a sailboat with a rope attached to it. On the other part of the bridge side I see two boy jumping off the bridge. I wonder why they want to do it, is it their time have a swim or they want to go crazy.
The cars that are zooming past like cars with the speed of a racecar. The cars are dropping gassy smoke clouds of pollution everywhere. I really don’t like the smell of pollution it is all over the place now. Boats are in the middle part of the water looking like they are lost, roaming animals. The boy that jumps first is looking like he is going to do a front flip like a circus monkey. Who would do such a thing like that?!. I wish I can jump like that if I do lots of swimming.
The big jump
I see a wharf with a boat,a rope and some fishing nets. A girl wearing a life jacket, sitting on a diving board with her feet dangling in the water and she is thinking maybe she is nervous because it’s a dare by her friends or it’s her desire to experience how it is to be in the water. who knows. She’ll soon find out.
Closing her nose helps her not to suffocate in the water. I am thinking about how brave she is going to be in the water and jump like. Is she scared to take the plunge in the water or is she going to walk away and feel sad. I wonder what is going to happen to her. I will be very happy if she jumps because everyone needs new experiences.
One amazing treasure
On a Sunday I am on the footpath riding my blue bicycle then I see a man walking on the same footpath that I am riding my bicycle on. I come to a complete stop like a rhino crashing into a tree.
I get off my blue bicycle and go to the man and say “sorry for going the wrong way” the man replies “it’s all right everyone makes mistakes”. I notice the man is very happy because of his lovely smile then I ask him “why are you so happy” He says “I just went fishing and caught kelp vines and on the beach he grabbed a seashell and made a necklace” and then he also says “I go to a fishing tournament every year in the beach in Cape Reinga”. I thought it must have taken a lot of time. He said he was on his way home and he wanted to give me that necklace because he knows that I love the sea. So he got me that present I said “thank you” and gave him a small present I gave him a… turn on my bicycle and let him have one of my lollies that I carry in my pocket he liked my presents and started to walk back to his house. I thought an other thing to say to say “good things happen good things return”. He thanks me and I thank him back.

St Luke
Feast day: October 18
St Luke was born at Antioch and died October 18. St Luke wrote a gospel that tell us about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. St Luke is often painting portraits of Mary In our day, it would be easy to assume that someone who was a doctor was rich, but scholars have argued that Luke might have been born a slave.
