Government opens five new marine reserves
New Zealand's Government has confirmed five new marine reserves on the West Coast of South Island in order to protect sea creatures. The names of the reserves are Kahurangi, Punakaiki, Waiau Glacier coast, Tauparikaka and Hautai. The main reason to open these reserves is to protect and care for hector dolphins and blue penguins.
